Si at 2 months

I can't believe Si is already 2 months old! 

I'm obsessed with his cute little feet!


Here are a few things we've learned about this guy over the last month:

He started sleeping through the night which is AMAZING for mommy and daddy! 

His favorite place to sleep during the day is strapped to mommy in the Ergo. We are really enjoying the snuggle time it gives us while still being able to attend to the big girls! He does not love to have tummy time these days.

He adores his sisters, especially Sophi right now. She loves to talk to him, sing to him and hold him.



 Both sisters are good at bringing him his paci if he is upset. Maddie, my nurturer, is always concerned about where he is if he's not in the room with us. She takes care of both of her siblings!



Poor guy! This is what you get with two older sisters!

He found his hands this past month and is always putting them in his mouth and sucking on them! He is starting to grab for things which is funny to watch.

He's become our big boy and no longer fits into newborn clothes. 

His first play date with Lucy Ann, who is a week younger than him!
He LOVES to stand and is gets such a big grin when he stands, thinks he's big stuff.

Speaking of grinning he is a super smily, social baby! He smiles at anyone who will talk to him, always enjoying being in the center of the action. 
He cries whenever he is left alone in a room and can hear us in another!

He has also started talking to us which is super cute, especially when he talks to his sisters!

I am so in love with this little boy and was talking with the dr at his 2 month appointment at what a special bond can be had between a momma and her boy!

Si's 2 month Stats:

Weight: 12 pounds 11 ounces - 75%

Height: 23 and 5/8 inches - 74%

Si at 1 Month

Si turned one month old on March 9. 

Seriously with each child I feel like time goes by so much faster! There are moments I just wish I could freeze time all together...and then others I don't!

Here is Si's progression over the last month:

At his two week appointment he weighed 9 pounds. He gained 1 1/2 pounds in 11 days!

He is already getting tired of me taking his picture. 

We are only just getting started buddy!

Here are some things we've learned about Si over the last month:

He is super social! He started smiling at 2 weeks old! He smiles and giggles at us all the time, especially at big sisters Sophi and Maddie.

Smiling in his sleeps! He smiles and belly laughs in his sleep a lot!

He loves to be cuddled. And I can't get enough of cuddling him!

Here he is meeting/snuggling with his great-grandma GiGi and his great grandparents Nana and Papa.

He went through a fussy phase for about a week but is now a champ at sleeping (thank goodness!). 

He has some gorgeous blue eyes and the best little feet!

 

His sisters love bringing him things. Sophi brings toys (she is ready to play with him) and Maddie brings his paci (she is ready for him to be quiet!).

Over the last week of his first month he started getting chubby, which, to me, is just the cutest thing!

This little guy has been the perfect addition to our family and we are all enjoying getting to know him. We are feeling so very blessed that God has placed him in our lives! 

Baby Si Arrives

So I've been away from the blog for awhile but I've finally found my way back. Thought I'd start back by updating on our newest addition.

Josiah Scobey Strahan was born on February 9th!

 This is me a few days before he was born. He was due on February 9th and I was scheduled to be induced the morning of February 10th. I completely expected to be induced but to my surprise I went into labor early on the morning of February 9th and he arrived later that afternoon!

Excited to finally be here!

My parents and my mother-in-law were able to be with us as we anxiously waited for his arrival. This is a picture of me having to wear oxygen, which I hate doing, but seem to have to do every time!

Our sweet baby boy born at 1:47pm weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces. It truly was love at first sight for me. There was something instantly special about having a little boy, I can't even put it into words!

 Sophi had been sick so the girls had to wait until the next day to come meet him. They were sooo excited, especially Sophi who had been praying she would have a baby brother long before we even knew about him!

After 2 days in the hospital we headed home. 

He is the perfect baby and we so enjoy him! Time is moving way to fast though!!
