Our little Maddie is one week old today!
It is already going by too fast (again!).

She is Here!!!
Madeline's arrival, like so much else in this pregnancy, was very different than we had anticipated. After waiting and waiting for her to make her entrance on her own we decided it was time to be induced and were scheduled for Monday morning, April 23 at 5:30am at Baptist Hospital.
With a few scary complications dealing with contractions and Maddie's heart rate we finally welcomed our second little girl into the world.
Madeline Zoe Strahan was born on April 23, 2012 at 3:46pm. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.
She is absolutely wonderful and we are so in love with her! Some things we have learned about her in the last 4 days:
She loves to eat and sleep and POOP!
She loves the sound of her big sisters voice, it seems to sooth her.
She has a sweet little "angel kiss on her right eye that makes us smile.
She has Sophi (and mommy's) long fingers and toes.
She has Sophi's long legs and cute little nose.
She is truly a miraculous gift from God!

Update
Update:
I am now 40 weeks and 1 day. Maddie has decided from the looks of things to stay put! Unless she decides to make her entrance tomorrow she will be evicted early Monday morning, April 23.
So looking forward to meeting our sweet baby girl!

5 days to go...
Well...I am still pregnant! Just to give a quick update, I am 39 weeks and 2 days. I am 3 centimeters dilated and 70% effaced as of last Tuesday. My due date is this Friday, April 20th. If Maddie decides not to arrive by Friday we will be induced on Monday, April 23rd.
The look on my face says it all...am I really still here?!
Go back to the doctor on Tuesday so will hopefully know more than!
Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers! She will be here any day now! Simply trusting in the Lord's perfect timing!

Celebrating Easter...He is Risen!
While waiting on Maddie's arrival our family enjoyed anticipating and celebrating the resurection of our Lord!
Here are a few of the things we did this year to remember and celebrate:
Our clay mountian. We acted out the story and placed Jesus in the tomb, waiting to see what would happen Easter morning.
Stain glass cross, reminding us of that through his death Jesus brought light back into the world.
Resurrection eggs, a twelve day count down to Easter. Each egg held a tangible object as well as a verse that gave meaning to the object and its relation to the Easter story. Each day we tied the object in the egg to our Jesus tree to help us remember as we prepared for Easter.
