That evening we went to a Christmas Eve service at the church then headed back to the house to celebrate Jesus's birthday with some birthday cake!
Christmas day was spent in our pjs watching Christmas movies, working a puzzle, opening a few gifts and munching on leftover turkey and birthday cake!
I had assumed that I would be buying all of Sophi's gifts but when we went to open our stockings Josh brought out a few things he had bought Sophi on his own! It melted my heart and I hope this will become a tradition between him and her!
Josh got some cool new shoes and he got me a Moby Wrap which I hear is going to be so fun to use with Sophi. 
The best gift of all, though, was our precious little girl!!
After stockings we had our Christmas dinner of steak and mashed potatoes (which we have decided should be a continued tradition!).
While our biological family was unable to be there, our life group family was there supporting and encouraging us on that special day (and taking lots of pics for us too!!).
After church everyone came over for a Christmas celebration! We had a great time sharing the day with friends enjoying good food, fun games, and sweet fellowship!
Thank you life group family for all the love and support you have shown us over the past year. Each of you means so much to us and we feel so blessed to have your friendship in our lives! We love you all!! Enjoy your Christmas vacations with family and friends!
She has moved out of newborn diapers and is rapidly filling out (and up!) size ones!! She can hold her head up pretty much on her own now. She loves to smile at everyone (it's no longer just a gas smile!!) and has started to laugh!! Such a sweet little giggle she has!
In January I will most likely be returning to work part time and Josh and I will begin sharing the duties of caring for our little girl during the day. If you remember please keep our family in your prayers as we begin this new phase of parenting, that everyone will have peace and find joy in our shared time with our little girl!
Apon arriving in Atlanta Sophi got to meet her sweet Aunt Ashley who bypassed all of us just to squeeze little Sophi's neck! I have a feeling they will have a special friendship! Sophi also got to meet her great Grandma and Grandpa and great Nana and Papa for the first time. She had so much fun getting to know them and sleeping in their arms (Nana has the special touch!).
Sophi also had the privilege of meeting her cousin Evie for the first time. Evie is 3 months older than Sophi and loved "talking" to her but was a little disappointed that Sophi would not respond!
We got the opportunity while we were there to fly up to Nashville and see Josh's parents. This offered Sophi the opportunity to take her first flight in Pops plane! I think she really enjoyed it!
While in Nashville Sophi got to meet her Aunt Nichole, Uncle Matt and her cousins Bella and Ian!
Can't wait to celebrate her first Christmas with the Strahan family in a few weeks!
At Sophi's two month check up the doctor said she was doing excellent!! She weighed in at 10 pounds 1.5 ounces. She is still 21 and 3/4 inches long but moving up on the height chart and staying in the 75% category. She is still a great sleeper which the doctor said was truly a blessing. She's such a cuddle bug when she's sleepy!
Sophi has discovered her hands over the past month and constantly is putting her fists in her mouth! She has also discovered her feet in the last week and likes to stare at them as they move, realizing she is doing the moving. It is soooo cute!
Sophi loves to sit up and hold her head up. She also loves to stand and often takes steps while being helped to stand. I think she is going to skip the crawling and go straight to walking. She is holding her head up more during tummy time and working really hard on rolling over. Not quite there yet but close!!
One of the cutest things that has changed in the last month is Sophi's ability to talk. She LOVES to talk to you and also loves to sing (my kinda girl!). She will sit and smile at you and just babel away or just simply talk to her herself, no need for mom or dad to be present to discuss the goings on in her world!
(I think she looks a lot like my dad in this picture, as Josh says, "That's a David Scobey face!)

Saturday Josh stayed home with Sophi so Kathryn and I could hit the beach. We went out to Malibu to have lunch at Paradise Cove.
We spent one afternoon shopping for maternity clothes and browsing several baby stores since Kathryn is pregnant!! This is what she might look like a few months from now!!
Kathryn I had soooo much fun having you here! You are such an amazing friend to me and I am so thankful that our friendship has withstood the test of the distance between us! I love you and am so glad you are a part of our daugther's life. I can't wait to come out and visit you when baby Baird arrives!!!
