7 Months for Maddie

I can't believe Maddie is 7 months old! Time is moving way to fast for this Momma! Check out our cutie pie:

Oh all right, Sorry little Bear!

This was another rough month for our sweet baby girl. After a week being ear infection free our house was infected with the cold and we were back to infected ears. Josh and I decided it was time to put tubes in her ears. 

Sick baby girl was such a sweet cuddlier.

The surgery was a success, she had active infections in both ears that they were able to clean out along with all the fluid built up inside. She has been one super happy baby since then. She immediately went back to sleeping through the night which we are VERY grateful for and you can tell simply from her eyes she is so much better.

This past month Maddie has started blowing raspberries ALL the time! Of course wtih that comes lots of drool!

We are discovering that our Maddie LOVES to bang on anything and loves to bang things together as well. Maybe we have a drummer in our future, who know?!

She still LOVES her sister and Sophi is really starting to warm up to her too! Sophi is the only one that can ALWAYS make Maddie laugh. I pray that a sweet friendship is in their future!

She now eats table food, pretty much anything we are eating and LOVES it. If you are near her while eating or drinking be sure she is going to ask for some! This girl LOVES to eat. 

She enjoyed her first Halloween despite being sick and was a sweet side kick cow to sister Jessie!

Her biggest change this month is her ability to move. She finally decided she was ready to roll over, did it once and hasn't stopped since. She also has started rocking on her knees, both from sitting or from her tummy. She can also stand and hold on to something for several minutes at a time.

Since having her tubes put in she is even more loud and verbal than before. While she doesn't say "Mama" or "Dada" yet if you ask her where Mama is she will look at me or if asked where dada or Sophi are she will look for them too!

During this season of thankfulness we are reminded of how thankful we are for this precious little miracle God gave to our family! We love our little Maddie Cadabby!

Our sweet Maddie has had a rough month. She has had an ear infection that just won't go away and has been introduced to almost half a dozen antibiotics to try and get that ear better! We haven't had as many happy, giggly moments with her as we would have liked over the past month but she is still the sweetest little thing in the world!

 She LOVES bath time and splashing in the water with her big sister!

She is a sitter ya'll! She started sitting just after she turned 5 months old and has never looked back. She still doesn't roll over very much, we think because she would simply prefer to sit! She tolerates being on her tummy for a bit as long as she has something to look at or hold!

 Anelle and Sophi are only one month apart! Sweet friends from birth!

The girl LOVES to eat. She eats all three meals at the table with us. She will eat ANYTHING you give her. She even eats prunes twice a day! 

Sophi and Shiloh are the two people she laughs at the most!

She is communicating more and more. She definitely lets you know when she wants more food, when she doesn't like something, and when she wants to be picked up she reaches out her arms for you.

One of her favorite things to do (besides sitting) is jump in her jumperoo! 

She moves things from one hand to the other and has discovered tags. She can find the tag on anything and is instantly mesmerized by it, playing with it in her fingers and chewing on it.

She is finally sleeping with out being swaddled, now just in a sleep sack. Those poor ear infections made it hard to sleep!

She drools a ton and is constantly chewing on her hands but no teeth yet!

Maddie we love you and in Sophi's words

We are so grateful for this family's ministry and their willingness to invite us onto their farm during this beautiful fall season.

5 months old

Our sweet baby girl is 5 months old today! Where has the time gone?!

Here are some of the new things we have discovered about Maddie this past month:

She LOVES to eat! At the doctor's recommendation we started her on solids just after she turned 4 months old. She can't get enough! She now eats with us at every meal. She has already enjoyed rice, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, pears, bananas, and avocado. 

Maddie has discovered that she loves to swing and slide down the slide with Sophi thanks to the new swing set Sophi got for her birthday!

Her hair keeps getting curlier! It's at it's curliest right after her bath.

She is an Auburn football fan, can you believe it?!

(And Titans fan of course!)

She doesn't roll over a ton but can turn in circles on her belly, always turning towards the tv if its on, little stinker!

She can sit up on her own for a minute or two and sometimes longer depending on where her focus is! 

She loves facing forward in the baby bjorn and is still fascinated by her sister and shiloh.

She has found her feet and is constantly playing with them and putting them in her mouth.

She has also found her voice and talks a lot!! She makes sure you know when she wants more food, when she is not happy that you have left her alone, and when she is super happy and excited! 

We are so in love with our little Maddie and can't wait to discover more of who God has created her to be!

Happy Birthday to my fun loving, sweet, funny, crazy, strong-willed, creative, smart, beautiful little girl. I thank God today for giving you to me three years ago and I pray I can continue to be the kind of mommy you need. You are beautiful both inside and out and i can't wait to see all God does in you over this next year!
