Celebrations and fun in the sun

We took a quick trip to Atlanta a few weeks ago to celebrate my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary! We are so grateful for the legacy they are leaving for us and our children. 

We love you GiGi and Paw! 

While we were there Sophi got some much needed quality time with Evie! These girls are the best of friends!

From Atlanta, Sophi Maddie and I headed down to the beach for some much needed fun in the sun! 

We are looking forward to heading back down in July with daddy for our annual beach vacation!

Maddie has her two month appointment next week! Where has the time gone?! Can't wait to share with you all how she is doing! Stay tuned!

Maddie is One Month Old

My little, tiny baby is one month old!! 

Here are a few things we have learned about sweet Madeline this last month:

 She loves her sister...and her sister loves her! Sophi is always wanting Maddie to do whatever she is doing!

Maddie is a champ at sleeping. The girl LOVES to sleep:

She also LOVES to eat. She is often sporting a milk mustache of some kind!

 She is an Auburn fan! 

 She loves her daddy! She lights up whenever he is talking to her and she loves sleeping in his arms!

Other things we have learned about her:

-She is a grunter, ALWAYS making noise especially when she is asleep.

-She only poops once every four or five days...and when she does, whooo! It is a blow out!!

-She loves to be held, and although will sleep elsewhere, would always prefer to be in someones arms!

-She has a beautiful smile just like her sister!

Big Girl Sophi

I love the summertime...and I love this precious girl!!

She seems so much older now that Maddie has arrived! She has such a special heart and I feel truly blessed to be her Mommy!

3 Weeks Old

Maddie's 2 week Stats

We took Maddie for her two week check up on Wednesday. She is doing great and we praise God for a healthy little girl!

Maddie at two weeks:

Weight: 8 lb 1.5 oz - 50%

Length: 20 and 7/8 in - 70%

Head: 13 and 3/4 in - 30%

Our 2 week old

I can't believe 2 weeks have already gone by since this little girl entered our lives! Josh, Sophi and I are so in love with her!

The AMAZING Lolly and Pops took our little Sophi and her cousin Evie on an awesome adventure this week to...DISNEYWORLD! What braves souls they are!

Josh and I are so grateful for this time alone with Maddie to bond with our newest little girl. We are, however, finding our selves in the quite of our house missing our sweet extraverted little talker! Maddie is working hard on filling that quite with noise...not crying but grunting! Boy can this girl grunt and she does it all the time, sleeping or awake!!
