Our big 3 month old!

Our little guy is 3 months old! Time just never slows down!

I'm gonna get you!

Speaking of getting things, this guy has really started to grab at things and more often than not can take hold of what he is after and put it in his mouth. The baby jungle gym has become one of his new favorite spots this month.

Speaking of his hands, they are always in his mouth! And he is constantly drooling. 

No teeth yet, thank goodness but quite the drooler!

He's gotten better at tummy time over the last month and at least doesn't HATE it. He will stay for longer periods of time and is getting stronger every day. Still his favorite position right now is standing. He ALWAYS wants to be standing. That boy has got some strong legs already!

He has experienced a few firsts this month including

his first flight on Pops airplane and

his first trip to the beach! 

Our summer family tradition is to spend a month or more at the beach (thanks to Lolly and Pops and their beach house!) and we look forward to many more beach trips with this guy!

He LOVES his sisters and they love him! 

He and sophi have a special bond. Sophi prayed for this sweet guy to come into our lives long before he was even a thought in our minds. We are so thankful for her prayers and for the love these two share!

He has enjoyed spending lots of time lately with his great-grandparents and great-aunt and uncle! He especially enjoys Papa's deep voice!

 This little guy is one happy baby! He is constantly smiling! I mean constantly! He also started giggling and talking a lot this past month. He is one loud talker!! He is still such a social little man!

A few other things we have learned about this guy over the last month:

-he can now follow us across a room and nows when we leave which is making it harder and harder to let him nap in the swing. Moving to napping in his room should be in his near future!

-He can hold his head up on his own now. He has made no attempts to roll over yet but looks like he could crawl the way he moves his legs when he's on his tummy! Currently his lower body is much stronger than his upper body!

-he's a momma's boy (or at least I like to think so right now)!

-he gets fussy when left alone in a room by himself for longer than a minute (he has to be in the middle of everything that's going on).

-he sleeps 11 hours a night and has moved down to 5 feedings a day

 We are so in love with this little man and are so thankful God brought him into our lives! 

Looking forward to learning more about who God created him to be over the months to come!

Madeline is 2!

Our precious Maddie turned 2 this past month. Crazy how quickly time can go by!

 She brings so much joy to our family and we are so thankful for her and her sweet spirit!

 Here are a few things our Maddie is doing right now:

She is still one for the dramatics. She can be super happy and super sad and shows her feelings every where in between. She has very specific faces for her feelings as well. My favorite is her "I know I'm in trouble" face where she hangs her head and bats her eyes. Too cute!

 I call her the nurture of the three. She is always looking out for her older sister and younger brother. She asks them to be careful often and is always telling them it will be ok. She also has to make sure she knows where they are at all times.

 She LOVES to be outside and we are so thankful it is outside season now! She can climb on anything and loves to jump! She swings in the big swings and can climb up rock walls at most playgrounds all by her self! She is cautious but not fearful and is willing to try just about anything!

 She LOVES to fly on Pops airplane which she has gotten to do more and more latley. She really enjoys spending the night at Lolly and Grammy's house, especially when she gets to go all by herself!

 She can repeat anything we say and talks in full sentences all the time. She doesn't pronounce everything perfectly like her sister did, which I am enjoying as it makes for some very cute conversations! However, her most favorite word right now is NO. Oh the joys of 2 year olds!

 She LOVES playing with her sister and usually wants to be doing whatever Sophi is doing. They love to play tag together as well as horse rides with big sister being the horse. She also loves to hug on her little brother. She looks for him every morning when she wakes up so she can give him a big hug and kisses! She thinks its so funny when he "kisses" her back!

 She still loves to read and can often be found in her room reading through her big basket of books. She could sit and read to herself for a very long time!

Speaking of doing things her self she is most certainly Miss Independent! She does not like receiving help from anyone. She has to do everything on her own which can be quite the challenge sometimes!

A few other things about Miss Maddie right now:

-She can name by sight all her letters and her colors and can count to 13.

-She takes one hour and a half nap a day however some days goes without a nap at all

-she still sleeps in a crib although has climbed out of it several times. We hope to transition her to her big bed this summer.

-She is trying more and more food and now enjoys peas and broccoli (which she calls monkey trees!).

-One of her favorite places to go is the zoo to "see the aminals"

-she is highly allergic to dogs which is why we had to say goodbye to shiloh at the beginning of this year

-She still sleeps with her paci at nap time and bed time

-She has the most beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous curls. We can't go anywhere without getting many comments on her hair! 

-she LOVES the beach, especially sitting in the ocean waves

Maddie you are such a blessing to us and we are so thankful God chose us to be your family! We look forward to watching all God has in store for you this coming year.

I can't believe Si is already 2 months old! 

I'm obsessed with his cute little feet!


Here are a few things we've learned about this guy over the last month:

He started sleeping through the night which is AMAZING for mommy and daddy! 

His favorite place to sleep during the day is strapped to mommy in the Ergo. We are really enjoying the snuggle time it gives us while still being able to attend to the big girls! He does not love to have tummy time these days.

He adores his sisters, especially Sophi right now. She loves to talk to him, sing to him and hold him.



 Both sisters are good at bringing him his paci if he is upset. Maddie, my nurturer, is always concerned about where he is if he's not in the room with us. She takes care of both of her siblings!



Poor guy! This is what you get with two older sisters!

He found his hands this past month and is always putting them in his mouth and sucking on them! He is starting to grab for things which is funny to watch.

He's become our big boy and no longer fits into newborn clothes. 

His first play date with Lucy Ann, who is a week younger than him!
He LOVES to stand and is gets such a big grin when he stands, thinks he's big stuff.

Speaking of grinning he is a super smily, social baby! He smiles at anyone who will talk to him, always enjoying being in the center of the action. 
He cries whenever he is left alone in a room and can hear us in another!

He has also started talking to us which is super cute, especially when he talks to his sisters!

I am so in love with this little boy and was talking with the dr at his 2 month appointment at what a special bond can be had between a momma and her boy!
